Grand Chute Town Administration
The Grand Chute Police Department has earned re-accreditation from the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group (WILEAG) after a three-day on-site review in December 2025. This is the fifth time the department has received state accreditation, showing its continued commitment to professionalism, accountability, and public safety.
WILEAG accreditation is a voluntary process that reviews how law enforcement agencies operate, including their policies, training, and procedures. It ensures departments follow proven standards that support lawful and ethical policing. Only about 10 percent of law enforcement agencies in Wisconsin are fully accredited, making this achievement notable.
To maintain accreditation, agencies must regularly review policies, provide documentation, and participate in on-site evaluations conducted by trained WILEAG assessors. Re-accreditation occurs every 3 years and helps departments follow best practices, reduce risk, and build public trust.
The Grand Chute Police Department remains dedicated to providing high-quality, professional service to residents, businesses, and visitors while continuing to review and improve its operations.
