The Appleton Noon Lions Club has been serving the Appleton community for more than 100 years. On September 23, 2026, our Club’s Foundation will be presenting its 27th Senior Living Expo. The event is an interactive trade show for seniors and their families with more than seventy five vendors, multiple seminars and free health screenings. The Expo is free and typically there are more than 800 attendees. It also serves as the main fund raising effort for the Appleton Noon Lions with 100% of the profits used for support of local nonprofits and Lions causes. Last year $20,000 was granted.
Some organizations that have benefited from the proceeds in the past include – Boys and Girls Clubs, COTS, Harbor House, Homeless Connection, LEAVEN, NAMI, St. Joseph Food Program, Fox Valley Memory Project, Fox Valley Veterans Council, Loaves and Fishes, Riverview Gardens, Veterans Village, Pillars, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Salvation Army, Victim Crisis Response, Fox Valey Lions MJ Tassoul Medical Equipment Loan Locker, Rebuilding Together and many others.
There are seminar speakers who address topics of interest for seniors. This year’s seminar speakers are DOT, Reg Wydeven (Estate Planning), and Network Health (Fuel with Fiber: Blend your way to Better Health).
Past speakers have included – Senior Care Law, Social Security, Old Glory Honor Flight, Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin, Memory Care, ThedaCare Trauma Center (Falls), and Consumer Fraud.
