To our Grand Chute Community,
At the Grand Chute Gazette, our mission is to inform and connect our residents by providing timely, accurate, and relevant news. We know that being a reliable voice for our town requires consistency, and we sincerely apologize for the significant delay many of you experienced with our December issue.
While the papers were scheduled to arrive in your mailboxes by December 5th, most did not reach homes until December 22nd. We would like to share the details of what occurred with our delivery process:
- The Logistical Delay: The Gazette delivered the completed papers to the Appleton Post Office on schedule. However, for reasons not explained by the USPS, the shipment was diverted from Appleton to Green Bay, then forwarded to Milwaukee, before eventually being sent back to Appleton for final delivery.
- Our Commitment: We understand the frustration this caused, especially for our advertisers who count on timely circulation and our readers who look forward to local updates. Despite our efforts to seek recourse or an explanation from the postal service, none was provided.
Moving forward, we are reviewing our production and delivery timelines to better safeguard against such external logistical challenges.
We are proud to serve as your local voice and are already hard at work ensuring our future editions reach you on time.
Sincerely,
The Grand Chute Gazette Staff
