EAA Chapter 1710 Hosts Inspiring Hot Air Balloon Presentation and Honors 2025 Member of the Year

Clintonville, WI – EAA Chapter 1710 welcomed a full house on April 15 for an engaging evening featuring a special presentation on hot air ballooning and the recognition of its 2025 Member of the Year.

Attendees enjoyed an outstanding presentation by Rob Foxenberg, who shared his expertise and passion for hot air ballooning. Adding to the experience, Foxenberg brought one of his balloon baskets for guests to see up close, offering a unique, hands-on perspective. The presentation sparked excitement throughout the room and may have inspired a few future aviators.

In addition to the evening’s program, EAA Chapter 1710 proudly recognized Ian Dieck as its 2025 Member of the Year. Each year, EAA chapters select an individual who exemplifies outstanding commitment and service, and Ian’s dedication to the Young Eagles program made him a clear choice.

Ian has gone above and beyond in his volunteer efforts, actively assisting at Young Eagles rallies, supporting a wide range of event needs, and even recruiting his parents, Ben and Jamie Dieck, to volunteer and become members. His enthusiasm has made a meaningful impact on the chapter’s youth outreach mission.

In recognition of his contributions, Ian received an official EAA certificate and pin, along with an EAA Chapter 1710 hat.
