After years of traveling and touching countless lives across the region, Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) Chapter 351’s signature “Reflections of Vietnam” display is officially moving to its permanent home.

The powerful exhibit will soon reside at The Highground Veterans Memorial Park in Neillsville, Wisconsin. There, it will become an integral part of The Highground’s education programs, furthering their mission to support veterans and help them “To Live Fuller Lives.”

Before the exhibit makes its final journey, the community is invited to experience it one last time. VVA Chapter 351 will host the final community display at the Missions of Honor “Pulling for Honor” Plane Pull Fundraiser on Saturday, August 15, 2026. The event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Appleton Flight Center (N259 Ares Drive). This unique family-friendly event is completely free, open to the public, and directly benefits local veterans.

Though the traveling display is retiring, VVA Chapter 351’s commitment to the community remains as strong as ever. Moving forward, the chapter will transition its educational outreach into more personal, classroom-based settings within local schools to ensure the stories and lessons of Vietnam are passed on to the next generation.

Ongoing Community Initiatives

The chapter visits 6 local elderly homes twice a year, during Memorial Day and Veterans Day, to honor the veterans residing there.
The chapter makes donations to Veterans Village and numerous other veterans groups within the community.
The chapter has established a scholarship program for local high school seniors. This program awards two $1,000 scholarships to students who interview a Vietnam Veteran and write about their military service experiences.
