The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. (See James 1:5) Do you fear the possibility? That’s a beginning. So, let’s start here, today, to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. (See Philippians.2:12).
Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the day of provocation. (See Psalm 95:7, Hebrews 4:7)
Why would we will-to not hear his voice? Why would we choose to harden our hearts? Perfect love casts out all fear. What do we really know of this love? Do we not really believe the Love of God or is it that we won’t accept the possibility of God really loving us? Are we elevating our conditions for salvation above God’s? Today, I pray the eyes of your understanding be opened as the light of God’s love brightens your face and fills your heart. Indeed, perfect love casts out all fear. May your love abound more and more in the knowledge of God’s love for you in all wisdom and understanding in Christ Jesus. Amen.
