Sara Milanowski, Prevention Coordinator, Outagamie County ADR
Exercise benefits people of all ages, but it is essential for older adults to stay active. As we age, our bodies become less resilient and are more susceptible to health problems. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), physical activity can help manage and prevent chronic diseases, reduce the risk of falls, and improve mental health and cognitive function.
Outagamie County Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) offers many classes to keep older adults active and healthy. Our health and wellness classes include: Strong Bodies (strength training), Tai Chi, Stepping On for Fall Prevention, Mind over Matter (pelvic floor strengthening), and Healthy Living with Diabetes.
Outagamie County ADRC is very grateful to be able to partner with Grand Chute Fire Department to offer Strong Bodies and Tai Chi continuously at their facility, along with being able to host our seasonal classes.
If you have any questions regarding the classes offered, please contact Sara Milanowski at 920-832-5178 or email [email protected].
