Growing up in small town Minnesota, we didn’t have parks like Grand Chute. Our ‘park’ was a field that was behind the Coca-Cola Plant where we spent much of our summer playing softball, tag, and kickball. In the winter, ‘broomball hockey’ was played in the street!
Grand Chute has many wonderful parks with many amenities. Winter is the perfect time to visit Lecker Park, located at 5500 N Gillett Street, North of CTH JJ. Lecker has 40 acres where there are trails and opportunities for cross country skiing, snowshoeing and even a Fat Bike Trail (winter only). Lecker is one of North East Wisconsin Trails (N.E.W.T.), and you can find the below map and more information on their website at https://newtrailswi.org/trails/lecker/.
Also, visit the Grand Chute website for trail status and other winter park offerings. https://www.grandchute.net/departments/parks-recreation/parks/lecker-park/
