Steve Denzien, Grand Chute Fire Chief
The Grand Chute Fire Department has been operating emergency ambulance transport to the residents and visitors since January 1, 2025 and operations are running smoothly. At the end of July, we have responded to 1498 emergency medical responses where we have transported 1292 patients to the hospital, a stout 86% or responses! Crews have been busy training to hone their current skills and treatments to ensure that the highest level of care is provided while within our care.
Each report that is generated from a patient contact goes through a careful review process prior to being submitted to the billing agency to verify treatment, determine if anything can be improved or learned and shared throughout the agency to improve future patient care.
Additionally, crews are continually adding skills to improve response times, patient treatment, and positive patient outcomes. Recently, one of our crews was recognized at a Timber Rattlers game with saving a patient’s life in February.
