The Town recently contracted with the Outagamie County Highway Department to complete an asphalt grader patch on North Bluemound Drive between West Capitol Drive and West Northland Avenue.
A grader patch is a temporary pavement maintenance treatment that places a thin layer of asphalt over the existing roadway to create a smoother, more uniform driving surface. This work helps improve ride quality and extend the life of the existing pavement until a more comprehensive roadway improvement project, currently planned for 2028, can be completed. The 2028 project is expected to include pavement reconditioning as well as replacement of the water main along the corridor.
Long Term Closures
- WIS 47/Richmond Street interchange with I-41 is closed through fall 2026.
- NB I-41 on-ramp from WIS 96/Wisconsin Avenue is closed through fall 2026.
- Buchanan Street over I-41 is CLOSED through summer 2026.
- French Road in Appleton over I-41 is CLOSED through late summer 2026.
- French Road between County DDD and Apple Creek Road in Wrightstown is CLOSED through late fall 2026.
- East Frontage Road between Kerrigan Drive and County DDD is closed through early August 2026.
