OUTAGAMIE COUNTY
Outagamie County is inviting the public to review and comment on the draft 2027–2031 Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (CORP) during a three-week public comment period beginning June 22, 2026, and ending July 10, 2026.
The draft CORP provides a roadmap for the future of Outagamie County’s park system and includes recommendations related to parks, trails, recreation facilities, natural resource stewardship, accessibility, partnerships, and long-term investment priorities.
Community members are encouraged to review the draft plan on the project website and share comments or feedback during the informal review period. The project website includes the draft plan and information on how to submit comments:

The draft plan reflects input from residents, stakeholders, and participants gathered through a range of community engagement activities conducted between 2025 and 2026.
“Parks are more than places for recreation — they are essential civic infrastructure that help bring people together, strengthen community connections, and create spaces where residents can gather, build relationships, and engage with the outdoors,” said Justin Schumacher, Outagamie County Parks Director. “We are excited to showcase a plan that reflects that broader vision for the future of Outagamie County’s park system, and we encourage the public to review it and share their feedback before we move toward adoption.”
Following the public review period, County staff will review comments received and refine the draft plan as appropriate. The plan will then move into the adoption process as an amendment to the Outagamie County Comprehensive Plan. That process will include a formal public hearing before the plan is considered for adoption by the County.
